On a very wet morning, more than 15 volunteers from the Keynsham-based charity Hope for Ukraine managed to load more than 11 tons of humanitarian aid.
This took place with the help of forklift driver Mark from Tudor Services and I J McGill transport company. The aid destined for Ukraine includes food, medical aid, generators, water purification, bikes and tents and other items. Some of the camping equipment and other items were salvaged from the leftovers from the Glastonbury Festival.
The lorry left for Northern Romania today. The load will then be taken on for distribution in Ukraine. The Keynsham-based charity thanks the people of the town and surrounding areas who have donated a lot of the aid for this latest trip and continue to do so.
