As our vision expands so do our contacts and connections. These last few weeks have been both humbling and exciting. We have made excellent connections with local community groups in Keynsham, and they are now collecting, collating, and boxing up the aid that we are collecting. So far, we have four permanent hubs receiving aid, with a few more on a temporary basis.
Our website has been developed in record time, by people with busy full-time jobs, giving of themselves to build a powerful tool that will help us communicate with all our precious donors, and those that can access it in Ukraine.
We have also been given a lovely unit by a local transport and haulage yard so that we can store the boxed aid and prepare it for shipping.
Getting the key to the door, just one of many doors opening before us.
And welcoming the first consignment of aid.
KTCRfm, a local radio station is featuring us on a programme on the evening of Tuesday 22nd March. First time on the radio, should be interesting. Listen in if you get the chance, it’s available over the internet.
In the meantime, we are gathering aid faster than anyone can imagine, our community hub in Newton St Loe was overwhelmed on its first date of operation [Saturday 19th March], and is looking for more volunteers to help with the response from so many people keen to send Hope to Ukraine.
